Library

Come. Read. Pray. Become.

Where is the Library?
The Library is on Level 1, just across from Hall 1.

What are the Library Opening Hours?
Saturdays | 1.30 – 4.45 pm
Sundays | 10.00 am – 12.00 pm

Can I use the Library?
The Library is open during opening hours as a reading area. Members of DUMC are able to apply for a membership card for borrowings.

DUMC’s library has been a tiny gem, a favourite hideout, for those who want to bury their nose in a book, or look for one to take home. Since 1999, DUMC’s library has accompanied the church in our journey of being a church—resourcing, encouraging, and equipping.

The space was redesigned in 2019. Here, the space is cleverly split into a multi-purpose hall, and an area to display and store books. These two spaces would fuse into one during the library’s opening hours. In this redesign, our library space carries the look of a modern nook—a compact space packed with books, which makes the book-hunt a whole lot easier.

Together, these new spaces focus on the most important thing when it comes to books: reading them.

In our media rich world, what is sorely needed is a space to unplug from the digital world. Some call it a “digital detox.” And so once again, in 2022, our library evolves—now to offer a warm space suitable for reading, meditation, and prayer. And perhaps, sparking a new friendship or two.

e-Library

The DUMC e-Library is carefully composed with a variety of digital content to accompany every Christian outside library hours. It is perfect for when you are on the go for shorter reads or if you’d like to put something on to listen or watch.
