Proverbs 24:16 is probably the reason I keep the faith. The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. The Bible was never written to the perfect but to the broken and weary. When we read many religious writings, they teach us to emulate perfection and some even treat life as a weighing scale. The Bible is written with many examples of the most human people whom God uses extraordinarily. You just stand amazed how God uses tax collectors and prostitutes to advance God\u2019s kingdom. God looks at all sins the same and forgives equally without bias. As the sermon says, we need to build our stance and posture so that we maintain a culture of excellence and are resilient no matter what comes to us.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many times do you need to fall before you give up? I think this is why God encourages us to have a \u2018childlike\u2019 faith. It is amazing to see how children grow, especially when they learn to walk and speak from just existing and crying all day. They just keep moving and moving. From just crying, they speak. I cannot imagine a baby shying away and stopping to speak just because they were laughed at for mispronouncing a\u00a0 few words. Imagine if a child stopped learning to walk because he fell down when everyone was looking and feeling sorry for him. You will have an existing big baby who cries and cannot walk on their own; too afraid to face the world because of a few blunders of life. Each child grows at their own pace and will continue to grow to be the people God has created them to be.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a citizen of the nation, I have also fallen short of many things. I always believe that as a citizen, you only need to do 3 things for Malaysia; donate blood, vote and pay taxes. Although this nation has fallen many times, we shouldn\u2019t give up.\u00a0 We must develop our stance and posture as God-fearing Malaysians. We need to be resilient no matter what people throw at us. Many have left the country. Some don’t even want to vote on the 19th November 2022 because of the blunders of the previous election. Voting is the most important way for you to put your point across the nations. You can attend all the seminars and conferences but if you don\u2019t exercise your basic right to maintain or change the nation, no amount of gossip or bickering will change anything.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I had the privilege to work with about 10 to 15 stand up comedians to be in a video to encourage people to vote. Although I wasn\u2019t paid, I was honoured to be a part of passionate stand up comedians encouraging people to vote and \u2018dont let Malaysia sink\u2019. I pray that you will exercise your basic right to vote for your leaders for the next 5 years at least. And if things don’t turn the way you expect, don’t give up and keep voting. It’s the least you can do.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
