Sermon Reflection: Hello Neighbour

Contributed by Michelle Chuah • May 6, 2025

Looking back, I want to give thanks and praise to the Lord of His grace and mercies upon me. Since May 202, I have been seeking the help of my neighbours in the CG and friends around me to intercede for me as I went through one health issue after another. I believe it is God’s double-edged plan for me and my neighbours to seek Him through prayers.

It started when I became almost blind in my right eye due to cataract and had to undergo surgery. I had requested my CG members to pray for God’s Presence and Hands upon the surgical doctors for all to go well for the surgery and His subsequent healing. I had been able to testify not only of His Presence during the surgery but also His healing as I experienced a speedy recovery, to the doctor who did the follow-up check on my right eye. Indeed the prayers of my neighbours were instantaneous. They had truly sought Jesus in prayer for me.

Similarly, I sought the prayers of Christian friends and also informed pre-believers on my chat groups about a bleeding issue I had after moving my bowels early in February this year. I can testify of His goodness in providing me a Professor who was doing research on seniors and took matters seriously. My condition was attended to immediately. I truly thank Jesus for all that He had done for me. I hope the testimonies of His goodness will encourage my CG members to seek Him always as He is our real and living God. May my sharing lead pre-believers towards Jesus and know that our ever-loving God cares for anyone who believes and trusts in Him.
