Welcome to ASD (Advocacy and Social Concerns Department)!
In ASD, our mission is to advocate community engagement in our nation, bringing God’s love and justice to a needy society; building hope and transforming lives in Malaysia.
Our Beliefs
Image of God
We believe that every person is made in the image of God, carrying within them God-given dignity, value and purpose. Therefore each person carries the potential of living out their God-given potential, regardless of ethnicity, class and background.
Christ’s Restoration & Empowerment
We believe in the restorative and empowering work of Christ, and that God loves all people and offers them the opportunity of a new life in Christ.
God is Just & Merciful
We believe that God is just, compassionate and merciful especially towards the vulnerable, the poor and the marginalized, and has called Christians to be likewise.
Our Approach
ASD partners with local churches, NGOs, corporations and government departments towards these ends. We work to inform and empower Christians to work with the community to make biblically-shaped responses to suffering and oppressed individuals and communities.
ASD operates at three levels in serving the communty:
