God gave everyone a pair of beautiful feet to walk. In this world we use our feet to go to school, to exercise, to carry out our duties which have been given to us. But actually the most important duty is to go and share the good news of salvation to all that we meet.
Last week I was at the hospital waiting my turn to see a doctor. As I was waiting, I met a few friendly faces and decided to talk to a lady sitting on my right. We were talking about our health issues when another elderly lady came in a wheelchair and positioned herself next to the lady on my right. I was called by a nurse to a different part of the section and when I came back, the two ladies were already talking. I was so surprised when the elderly lady started to make a conversation and shared her condition of osteoporosis, ending with praising Jesus for healing her and sustaining her even though her bones were hollow yet she was able to live up to a ripe old age of 82 years old. I was able then to support her in thanking God for His goodness and mercy in sustaining her since she was 38 years old when her condition started. I am glad that the lady on my right who is a pre-believer heard the testimony of His goodness that day. Also the other patients sitting in that area too had heard of the testimony given. I believe this simple testimony which proclaimed about Jesus’ healing power had touched those who had been listening in.
I was so blessed by this moment that took place. I am encouraged that even being unable to use her beautiful feet, she is still proclaiming the goodness of God. It has given me the courage now to go forth and proclaim Jesus whenever and wherever I can. I hope that every follower of Jesus Christ too will do the same. Amen.
