This sermon’s Big Idea that “God often fulfils His greatest purposes through our deep, unfulfilled desires, when we surrender them to him in prayer,” made me stop to ponder and to count my blessings. I felt a sense of guilt that I have not prayed and surrendered to Him consistently.

During the 12th Chinese Alpha weekend last month, God reminded me of the same identical message that He gave me back in 2016 when I attended my 1st Alpha weekend away. The message from God was. ““I love you and I have great plans for you.  Just keep on doing your current tasks and DO NOT GIVE UP. Trust & surrender. Quit running your own race.  And I shall bless you abundantly.”

I remember a time in 2020.  I realised that my ex-manager then was adjusting the recond vehicles’ mileage. One of my customers, JL, had wanted to trade in her 7-years old Toyota Estima for a recond Toyota Estima.  I advised her to keep her old car as it was still in a better condition than the recond model. My honesty was rewarded two years later when JL bought 2 new cars from me.

As I reflect on the experiences that I have gained, I am reminded today, that with God, nothing is impossible.  I just need to surrender to Him. I need to stop running my own race and Let God take the wheel; more so as I embark on my new job at KFPH.
