“This is my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long…. “
It was a long long time ago when I was a young mother of two young children with a career which needed daily attention besides the children. Looking back I am truly amazed at the strength and ability that God has given me to manage the children and my work. I recall the time when my younger child Joshua was barely two years old and was sick almost every week until he was admitted to the paediatric ward. I was truly at wits end when he had to be put on drip and was screaming in pain and fear of his condition of dehydration. I literally knelt down and cried out to the Lord with a broken heart. Eventually, I found comfort from the nurses and doctor who were on duty who reassured me that he will be alright. God truly sends help as He sees me and my situation.
While in the children’s ward, I came to know that there were babies who suffered from lactose intolerance and as such would throw up the dairy milk they had consumed. My son had become dehydrated due to both vomiting and diarrhoea. God had revealed to me the cause of Joshua’s condition. We switched his milk to a soya based type which was exceptionally costly to buy. During this time, my husband’s business was hardly bringing in the income needed but the Lord sees. He sent a church member who knocked on our door with blessings of finance that enabled us to buy the special milk supply needed for my son.
Glory to Him who loves His children. Even though it was a tough season in our life, we did not go hungry nor lacked anything. He truly is a God who provides and sustains us.
I truly believe that He is faithful and there is always hope when things look hopeless.
Now, I am looking to Him for a God-fearing and compassionate helper to care for my ageing mother-in-law. I know that He will provide the right one or make a way for us.
