Looking back some twenty years ago, I will always remember my late lady pastor Magdalene Lim who had taken time every Wednesday morning to gather a group of ladies from church to pray for each person. A warm and gentle nature in person she not only was there to guide each one in bible reading but also sharing life’s experiences with us. I remember asking her to accompany me once to visit my God sponsor Elizabeth, who was hospitalised. Pastor Magdalene had spent time reading Scripture verses to encourage Elizabeth who was quite hard of hearing. She had even demonstrated how to colour our hair! She was a constant source of emotional and spiritual support whenever we needed help. She had helped us focus on Christ in good times and challenging times. She had shared that we all need to walk through the cross like Jesus.
Eventually, we lost her to her battle against cancer. She had indeed fought the good fight and returned to eternal rest. In short she has been an eternal remembrance in the life of us ladies, friends and also to her beloved husband and children.
