As I reflect on today’s message, I am reminded of the times when I had shared out of love to those close to me in the family of God, not being judgemental but out of concern for the young ones in God’s family with regards to excessive exposure to social media. Yet, it was not received in a positive way. With His grace, I learned that at times I need to discern that not all in the family of God are of the same maturity of thought. I learned to pray for God to open their eyes to see His Truth and experience His Love for others. Yet I am reminded of Galatians 6:9-10 and will continue to do good to the members of the family of God.
Similarly, some neighbours had also upsetted me when I tried to speak up about construction work, done on a public holiday, which was causing loud sounds but was shouted at instead. I realised then that it was like throwing pearls to swine. So I prayed for His peace and wisdom to act as it was disturbing the whole neighbourhood. Years later, those neighbours had a falling out with others. I learn to keep my peace as I remember that I need to be gracious and forgive just as Jesus had forgiven me for my mistakes.
Now, I continue to pray for the young members of my CG, my neighbours, my work colleagues and also the leaders of our nation. May the Lord open everyone’s eyes to see the Truth and have clarity to take action, led by the Holy Spirit. May His Love continue to fill my heart for others that I meet everyday.
