As I look back in my life, I realised that God calls us for various purposes in life. When I was young, my thinking was towards helping my siblings and parents in whatever situation that arises. There was no spiritual learning but only earthly teachings that I gathered through experiences in life.
However, when I had to leave home and the security of my family to step out on my own, I started to pray and ask ‘God’ for help. I believe that Jesus had been waiting to call on me and seek me. This is because when I was in school, I had come to hear stories about Jesus through catechism lessons. Though I was blurred about the Good News of the Gospel, I believe that Jesus had already planned my life ahead as He led me to meet Christian friends who care about my well being. Truly, I am very thankful as He watches over me and my loved ones daily.
During my season of life as a teacher, He had given me the opportunity to share His goodness and mercies to the students who were struggling due to family problems and also facing academic struggles. As I retired from teaching. He had a new purpose for me. Firstly in assisting my spouse in his business negotiations through prayer and also providing assistance not only to him but his team whenever needed. He also sends friends to call me to pray and assist them in time of need.
Today, God has called me to provide verbatim assistance in the writing of sermon summaries and sharing my personal reflections for CG members to ponder with. May His calling continue to connect me to others as He uses me to touch lives.
All Glory to Jesus and praise and thanks to Him for always being present daily in my life.
