Shalom. My name is Harry Paren. I want to share about the goodness of the Lord in my life.

The Lord is good, forever He is good! God has never abandoned me or let me walk alone. He loves and cares for me deeply.

In the past, I worked in the Malaysian arts industry, specifically in the music industry. I was delighted because I had a job I had dreamed of since I was a child. At that time, I gave my best to the world rather than to God. However, that job was filled with the impurities of the world! I lived through it for 4 years. In my band, I was the only Christian.

The question was, how could I withstand that situation? It was all because of the goodness of God!

People around me would take drugs to give them strength and confidence before playing concerts. But the Holy Spirit of God rebuked me, saying that it was not right.

I believe it was the strength from God that enabled me to hold back, it was not my own strength. God guided my journey because He loves me. I am very thankful that God sent me to a church community that always encouraged and strengthened me. The power of God is extraordinary. He did not let me be carried away by the world.

I am grateful that, until today, I enjoy the journey of life in Christ. I see the extraordinary work of God. He has blessed me with a new job with “Komuniti Digital”, and I believe this is God’s time for me to bless people out there in the increasingly sophisticated digital era. I don’t want to waste this opportunity that God has given me.

Now, I place a vision for my life, “Until the end of my life, I want to give my best to God, not to the world”.

Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Saviour,
and my hope is in you all day long.
