On May 6th, 2023, during the Mission Prayer Morning Breakfast, I had the privilege of sitting next to Senior Pastor Chris Kam. I was thrilled to share my testimony with him and a few others at the breakfast table. I shared about God’s immediate healing power that I had experienced during one of the Sunday mornings DUMC/MCO online celebrations in early 2022.
It all started when I suddenly experienced a sharp pain in my right leg one Saturday night as I was getting ready for bed. I prayed and laid my hands on my leg, but the pain persisted. The following morning, I attended a Sunday morning DUMC/MCO online celebration and towards the end of the sermon, Senior Pastor Chris led a healing prayer. With all my heart, I obediently followed his guidelines and laid my left hand on my right leg, trusting that God would heal me.
After the celebration had ended, I got up from my chair and as I walked towards the kitchen, I realized that the pain in my leg was gone! It was a powerful and immediate healing that left me in awe of God’s love and mercy. I also shared this testimony with my brother from Singapore and others. Wow! All glory to God, and I am thankful for the opportunity to follow the healing prayer for my right leg.
As a Christian, I believe in God’s healing power, and I give all glory to Him for healing my rheumatism and other ailments in the past. When I fully committed my life to follow Him in 1983, I received the Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues came naturally. Worshiping God and experiencing His power in my life has strengthened my relationship with Him.
From my early walk with God, I have experienced His faithfulness and seen how He works.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
I am grateful for His blessings and for the opportunity to make known His glory. Overall, I am a healthy person, still strong and full of energy in the Lord. Praise God!
