These instructions about ethical living involve many commands, laws, moral standards, ideals, prohibitions, and principles of wisdom relating to moral judgment. This course offers an overview of God’s moral and ethical vision for His people, our ethical reasoning as people created in His image and moral accountability. It also lays the foundation for applying Christian ethics to the moral challenges of this complex world.

Singing is part of the Christian experience. Worshipping in song, is older than the Psalms. The people of God have been making ‘joyful noises’ for centuries. In more recent times, there has been an explosion of events, billed as ‘worship experiences’, featuring well-known worship-leaders and worship bands, light-and-sound shows and thousands in audience. On the other hand, in homes all over the world, small groups of people gather and sing to God, without fanfare.

So, what is worship? What happens in worship? How we ‘do it’? Especially in our small group settings.
This is a course on worship, and particularly, worshipping God in song. It is designed to help you understand why we worship, and how we do so in song. It is also intended to help you lead others in worship in a small group setting.

Get an overview of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and the overarching message it brings within its historical and geographical contexts. This two-session course lays out the great story of the Bible while providing historical and geographical insights. A book-by-book summary is provided for a better understanding of the message of the Bible and its interconnectedness.

* “The Big Picture” – This is a brief history of events from Genesis (Creation) to Revelation (The End of Time).
* The historical periods and geography of the Old Testament
* How to understand the Old Testament books of law, history, poetry and prophecy.

Drawing on the imagery of the natural rhythms of the created order, this course explores the practices that spiritual seekers and growing disciples have used throughout history to grow closer to God. In a similar way, the disciplines of the spiritual life are the basic components of the rhythm of intimacy that feeds the soul, keeping Christians open and available to God’s surprising initiative in their lives.

In six sessions, this course will guide you in a way that links the disciplines of the Christian faith to the most compelling desires of the human soul. Each session offers teaching (video and live) and spiritual guidance on specific practices, allowing you to experience each discipline and incorporate it into your life.

Apologetics, simply stated, means “the defense of the faith.” Is Jesus really God? Did he actually rise from the dead? Is the Bible really God’s Word? These questions may seem difficult but they are not impossible to answer. In fact, these are the key issues of the Christian faith. As Paul says, “…if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile…” (1 Corinthians 15:17). Therefore, as responsible Christians, we need to learn how to defend our faith in God, the Bible and the other key Christian doctrines.

This course will teach you how to reason out your faith so that you may “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” (1 Peter 3:15)

A transformation of the heart is the goal every Christian must desire after and strive for if his/her walk with God is to be taken seriously. However, there is no shortcut to this cultivation of the inner life. Well-known author Richard Foster comments, “If we are expecting one or two worship services or study groups a week to change us, it will never happen. The whole object of the exercise is to walk with God through our days and through our nights.”

The practice of the spiritual disciplines is the pathway toward true inner spiritual transformation, which is more than about merely doing good “Christian” things. On a deeper level, it is about being changed from the inside out so that we can live abundant and joyful lives for the Lord.

In this course, you will enjoy learning the Inductive Bible Study method—three simple but important steps in doing Bible study:

• Observe – Find open and hidden facts in the text.
• Interpret – Find the message the writer wants to convey.
• Apply – Find the relevance of God’s message for you today.

This course also explores the various theories of Bible translation to show how these factors influence the task of interpreting Scripture. Particular attention will be given to understanding the New Testament epistles and the Old Testament narratives, both of which are commonly read portions of the Bible. Learning to interpret the Bible accurately is a precious investment for our spiritual growth and a great impetus for developing a lifelong passion for the study of God’s Word.

The apostle Paul states that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Eph 6:12, NIV) Though the term ‘spiritual warfare’ is not found in the Bible, it is clearly biblical.

This course seeks to equip participants to minister with authority and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ. We will look into the biblical basis of spiritual warfare and examine the different practical aspects of ministry in which we are engaged in spiritual warfare.

Jesus entrusts this mission to His church in the Great Commission. We are a missional people because we belong to a missional God. The Bible is the special revelation of God, giving us personal knowledge and life-giving truth abou this Creator God, who is good, who redeems his people, and establishes covenants with them. God’s word forms us and shapes us into the truest version of ourselves—his image-bearers, reflecting his life to the world. Therefore, it is crucial for us to read the Bible well and be transformed by it.

Through this course you will get to know your Bible, learn to read it well, and cultivate a rhythm of Bible reading. Let’s heed the words of Jesus when he responded to Satan’ temptation by quoting Deuteronomy 8:3: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
